What is Airalo?

Local, regional or global: which Airalo eSIM should you buy?

Airalo sells three kinds of eSIM and picking the right one is most of the value. A local eSIM (one country) is almost always the cheapest per gigabyte — if your whole trip is in Spain, buy the Spain eSIM. Regional eSIMs (Europe, Asia, North America and so on) cost a little more per gigabyte but cover dozens of countries on one plan, which wins the moment your trip crosses a border. Global eSIMs are the priciest and only make sense for round-the-world routes or frequent flyers who want one plan everywhere.

How much data do you need for a trip?
