You describe what you want in plain English (you can also use an image or your voice), Horizons generates a working web app or site, and you refine it conversationally: "make the header blue", "add a booking form", "connect Stripe". It's aimed at non-technical founders and small businesses who want to go from idea to a live app in hours rather than weeks.
The pitch that sets it apart is the bundle: a single Horizons subscription includes the hosting, a free domain for the first year, SSL, business email, a built-in database, user accounts and payment integrations (Stripe, PayPal). Rivals like Lovable or Bolt build the app but leave you to arrange hosting and a domain separately. You can build business sites, online stores, booking systems, simple dashboards, chatbots and MVPs.

Is there a free trial?
You get 5 free credits to test the builder and put together a draft — enough to see how it works. There's no permanent free tier, though: to publish your app, get more credits, export code or build more sites you need a paid plan. Treat the free credits as a try-before-you-buy, not a way to ship a site for free.
How the AI credits work (and the honest catch)
Each tier is really a monthly credit allowance (30 / 70 / 200 / 400), and credits are spent per prompt — a small tweak might cost a fraction of a credit, a heavy generation a couple. The honest catch reviewers flag is credit burn: fixing the AI's own mistakes and fiddly design changes ("move this left", "bigger font") all cost credits, so Explorer's 30/month is genuinely tight for a real page. If you're building something substantial, Hobbyist (200 credits, plus a code editor) is usually where the value lands. Credits don't roll over, and top-up credits cost more per credit.

Is Hostinger Horizons any good?
For simple business sites, landing pages and MVPs it's strong value, mainly because hosting, a domain and email are bundled into one cheap subscription. Reviewers are honest about the limits, though: code quality lags dedicated tools like Lovable or v0 for complex apps, and credit burn is real — a chunk of your monthly credits can go on fixing the AI's own mistakes. It's best for getting something live quickly, less so for intricate custom software.
Can Horizons build an online store or booking app?
Yes — it supports online stores, booking and appointment systems, simple CRMs, dashboards, chatbots and MVPs, with Stripe and PayPal payments and a built-in database. Very complex custom logic can strain it (and burn credits), so it's best suited to standard business apps rather than bespoke software, but for a typical shop or booking page it's well within scope.
