What can I run on this VPS?
KVM 2 has 2 vCPU cores, 8GB RAM, 100GB NVMe storage and 8TB bandwidth. Root access lets you configure web servers, Docker containers, databases or other Linux-compatible applications. Choose resources for your workload; these specifications are not a performance benchmark.
Hostinger offers Linux VPS templates, not Windows VPS. Software licences, paid control panels and external services are separate costs. For example, the cPanel/WHM template does not include a cPanel licence.
VPS or managed web/cloud hosting?
Choose a VPS when you need root access and control over the server software. You manage the operating system, application updates and configuration, even when a template makes installation easier.
For a website where you want Hostinger to handle the hosting environment, its managed web or cloud plans may fit better. They are different products; the VPS prices above do not apply to them.
Do I need a VPS for Node.js or n8n?
For Node.js, Hostinger offers both managed hosting on supported web/cloud plans and VPS hosting. The managed route supports deployment from a GitHub repository or file upload without configuring a whole server. Choose a VPS when you need root access, custom system dependencies or Docker Compose. Check Node.js support in the selected plan; the KVM prices above do not describe the managed product.
For self-hosted n8n, Hostinger documents standard and queue-mode VPS templates. A template helps with installation, while updates, credentials and workflow management remain part of running your own instance. The hosting purchase is separate from an n8n Cloud subscription or any separately paid software features and external services.
Can I choose a UK server?
Hostinger's current location list includes the United Kingdom for KVM and Game Panel. The final choices depend on availability during setup. Select the location you need then; moving a VPS later requires a backup and reinstallation. UK pricing alone does not reserve a UK server.
Who can use this referral code?
This referral is for new Hostinger customers. An already-registered account is not considered new, even if it has not bought anything. The checked discount applies to the initial KVM 2 purchase, not its renewal. Other plans need their own checkout check; do not assume this table covers Game Panel or managed hosting.
